Lets talk carpet. We at Monaco Coach Corporation refer to it as "the fifth wall," and its one of the most under-appreciated and least-mentioned interior components in your coach. It is somewhat surprising that while carpets have played such an important role within the interior design of our coaches, that it has received such little recognition. We would like to change that as we are carpeting select 2002 model coaches with exceptional fine carpet from Fabrica International. Monaco Coach Corporation has been doing business with Fabrica for nearly twenty years now. Since 1974, Fabricas carpeting has been rated number one in the U.S. for both style and quality. Their carpets are installed in some of the finest homes throughout the country, including our nations White House, as well as the Vice Presidential residence in Washington D.C. It is fair to say that the carpet industry recognizes Fabrica as the leader in style, color, texture and finish. The carpet in your coach should be durable. "Properly engineered carpet, with good maintenance, should last the life of the coach," said Fabrica founder Al Frink. What exactly is "properly engineered" carpet? The folks at Fabrica provided us with the following list of quality features to look for in Fabrica carpeting: Fiber Fabrica carpeting utilizes domestic and European state-of-the-art, low-luster, type 6 nylon fibers for durability and a natural wool-like appearance. Yarn Fabrica uses exceptionally high twisted, heat-set yarns to stand up under concentrated coach traffic. Construction Fabrica builds its carpets with extremely high-density construction for long-term wear and resilience. Backings Fabrica uses the finest, most tightly woven primary and secondary backing materials available. Sandwiched between these backings are not one or two, but three coatings of latex. You should never experience stretching or delamination problems with their carpet. Dying Fabrica uses the best and most expensive dye method known a four-hour submerged dye process known as the "dye beck process." Finish Fabrica refines the surface of its carpets through multiple shearings. The resulting finish is comparable to the look of hand-rubbed fine furniture. Soil and Stain Protection Fabrica completes the production process by applying state-of-the-art soil and stain protection. "Since 1974, Fabrica's carpeting has been rated number one in the U.S. for both styles and quality. Their carpets are installed in some of the finest homes throughout the country, including our nation's White House, as well as the Vice Presidential residence in Washington D.C." With high manufacturing and process standards, and the use of high quality materials, Fabrica carpeting is not the least expensive carpets youll find. "When you follow production steps like ours," Frink added, "you certainly will not build the least expensive carpets, but you will definitely build the best." Monaco Coach Corporation agrees. We consider the innovativeyet timelessstyling that Fabrica carpets bring to our coaches as a primary reason for our successful relationship with the company. - Holidays Staff Writer |
