Letter from the Editor

by Randy Puckett

Welcome to the latest issue of Holidays Online – the online home of Holidays Magazine. If this is your first visit to this site, settle back in your chair and browse through our feature offerings. You’re sure to find something of use or of interest. We’re getting more new visitors with every issue. And like our corporate and divisional sites, Holidays Online has been restructured, redesigned and relaunched, and proudly serves its largest online readership to date.

Holidays Online still offers full text versions of our product tests/reviews, as well as selected travel and technical features you’ll find in Holiday Rambler’s owner publication, Holidays Magazine. This web format is ideal for offering its visitors not only text and images from Holidays Magazine articles, but access to elements you won’t always find in its print sibling, such as extensive floorplans and interiors, additional specs and images, and more.

In this issue, we’re featuring “Third Slide’s A Charm,” a comprehensive road test and review of the all-new 2002 Endeavor Diesel Triple-Slide, one of Holiday Rambler’s best-selling Class A brand diesel motorhomes. We’re also including full text from our towable review, “Island Vacation,” a complete review of the Presidential’s brand-new 36SIT floorplan, featuring a new island kitchen layout. There’s also our special feature, “Have Pet, Will Travel,” a helpful guide for those thinking about taking a dog or cat along on their next trip. We delve into the area of motorhome antilock brakes systems with “Antilock Brakes: Keeping You On The Straight And Narrow.” And finally, Oregon Service Center’s John Hurd brings you, “Slideouts: Keeping Them On The Level,” covering proper slideout operation and the use of the slideout leveling system.

As always, I want to encourage all visitors to this site to e-mail myself (rpuckett@monacohr.com) or Webmaster Steve Barth (sbarth@monacohr.com), and give us your impressions of Holidays Online. How can we make it easier for you to use and navigate? How can we make it more compatible to its print version—Holidays Magazine—to better serve your needs? What would you like to see more of? Less of? We’re always open to your questions, comments and suggestions.
