Holiday Rambler’s 2007 Next Level isn’t all just fun and games. A workhorse when it comes to hauling grown-up toys, the Next Level fifth wheel also provides a luxury habitat replete with the features and appointments serious RVers demand — along with the fun and games.
As with previous model years, for 2007, Holiday Rambler has incorporated innovative and functional design changes in this fifth wheel toy hauler and by so doing continues to pace the industry. Offered in seven different floorplans that can include several slideout rooms, all units are 102 inches wide and range in length from 30 feet up to 38 feet. Manufacturing Base Suggested Retail Prices range from about $40,000 up to just pennies above $49,000. Included in the significant enhancements Holiday Rambler has initiated for 2007 are two new floorplans. Also, two of the Next Level toy haulers now incorporate what is called Holiday Rambler’s Z-Frame Superstructure, a design that creates a massive side-to-side storage (pass-thru) exterior bay yielding a breathtaking 122 cubic feet of storage. On models with the Z-Frame Superstructure, the utilities have been moved from the base cabinets and centrally located so there is now more storage room on the interior of these two units as well as on the exterior.
Another subtle but important design element on the Z-Frame Superstructure models is the straight-line roof, a feature that expands the height of the interior by creating a genuine loft area. What this does is permit the inclusion of two bunk style queen size beds that articulate down from the ceiling at the touch of a button in the rear cargo area when guests spend the night. When not in use the dual queen beds stay tucked against the ceiling. Holiday Rambler has creatively incorporated a lower queen size bunk bed that can be lowered individually, while leaving the top bed tucked away. The lowered bunk bed can then be configured into a sofa. In essence, this creates a humongous salon area out of the interior cargo bay when the toys (ATVs, motorcycles, even dune buggies) are not being housed inside. Both loft models include an interior wall that separates the front living and bedroom areas from the rear interior cargo bay. Included with this standard interior wall is a center aisle passageway and door.
One of the two new floorplans is the 30-foot long 30CK plan that features a side-aisle bathroom configuration. The other new floorplan is the 38SKD with triple slideouts that includes an interior wall and a loft in the rear. The 30CK side aisle is positioned against the exterior sidewall of the unit, permitting front to rear passage inside the unit to the fully self-contained private bathroom/water closet located on the opposite side of the unit. It permits the use of the bathroom without disturbing those who are sleeping in the forward stateroom. Because those who enjoy the utility toy haulers often invite others to come along for a weekend, privacy in the up-front bedroom is maintained by its location. Access to the side-aisle bathroom is via a slider door from the bedroom, or a hinged door from the aisle way.
The interior on all Next Level models have been upgraded as new materials, appointments and state-of-the-art equipment becomes available. For example, included for 2007 is an LCD flat screen television. The stereo/sound system has been enhanced by the addition of a 720-watt amplifier and a 10- inch subwoofer. A 12V Sirius-ready AM/FM weather band receiver (with CD/DVD player) and four interior 3-way speakers, plus two waterproof marine speakers are among the top new features.
Improving functionality is always at the forefront of Holiday Rambler thinking. The fuel station for toys has been moved to the rear, curbside of the Next Level. Customer feedback was the driving force in the fuel station’s relocation from the street side to the curbside of the fifth wheel. Owners said they wanted the security of being able to have their toys in full view at night. Another really slick feature has been added for those who want the capability to pull a dune buggy for example, into the cargo area for transport: An optional winch can be added to the standard winch plate that is incorporated and anchored into the floor of every Next Level toy hauler. Another nice feature the optional winch offers is that it is operated via a remote control. This means you can stand at the back of the unit and activate the winch motor from outside the Next Level.
The underbelly storage compartments have been insulated and are now heated. The front power landing jacks can now be operated independent of one another, making micro adjustments when leveling the unit possible. A hot/cold capable outside shower has been added so that cleaning up after a day of riding the trails can be done outside the toy hauler, keeping dirt from being tracked inside. To create even more interior livability, a flip-over jackknife sofa has been added. In the units that include the interior wall, a ceiling fan can also be enjoyed.
For Holiday Rambler, customer requests and input are always a driving force to improve livability and functionality. Case in point is the built-in central vacuum system that is now offered as an option. Being able to quickly and effortlessly vacuum up dust and debris tracked in from a day’s play makes a good deal of sense. As noted above, a new option (the cargo electric queen bed with fold-over sofa) is available. And to make stand-alone primitive RV camping anything but primitive, new for this model year is the 600-watt inverter option that can be enjoyed when the unit is equipped with two batteries.
For 2007, rich cherry wood is the standard for the interior woodwork on every unit. The countertops have been changed to a laminate with a Corian® bull nose (leading) edge. This model year finds the redeployment and use of fabrics in different locations and in different combinations, with an embroidered logo in the quick release jackknife sofa. Holiday Rambler continuously strives to enhance what can be characterized as “eye appeal,” the kind of aesthetics that need to accompany a flagship toy hauler. The patio awning is now also standard on all Next Level models, as are aluminum wheels.
It’s important to note that cutting edge enhancements become a moot point if substance in the design and construction of a recreational vehicle are not well attended to. Included among the many things that bring substance and quality to Holiday Rambler’s Next Level are its Alumaframe® and Z-Frame Superstructures, sealed bearing axles with electric brakes, 2,500 lb. rated ramp/door, the nine and six layer roof and sidewall construction and the one-and-a-half-inch steel framed sub-floor. The galley is replete with all of the necessary standard appliances to make it a full service venue, while the stateroom and salon areas are well appointed and fully furnished to provide immediate and excellent livability. But by far the most important assurance of product excellence is that the Next Level carries the name Holiday Rambler. That says it all!
In addition to the many floorplans offered, there are a host of options that permit the customer to tailor the Next Level to meet his or her unique needs and tastes. With the continued growth in toy hauler popularity and the accompanying growth in this market segment, Holiday Rambler’s Next Level sets the pace for all others through innovation, livability and functionality.
