With the Endeavor, we like to say, ‘It’s steak, not just sizzle,’” said Ken Walters, national sales manager for Holiday Rambler motorcoaches. In translation: This coach is all about substance. The 2008 Endeavor is a coach that, metaphorically speaking, can stick to your ribs.
The Meat (and Potatoes)
“Our floorplan availability is the key to Endeavor’s success,” Walters said. “The front kitchen with middle living room [40SKQ] is very practical, more residential. Then there’s the 40SFT floorplan with the full-wall slideroom. That has been very successful.”
But those aren’t the only reasons for the coach’s success. “It has great value,” Walters said. “The 2008 Endeavor has all the amenities of a high-end coach at under $250,000.”
So if you are a current or prospective full-timer you may have met your perfect match. “The Endeavor has a 400 hp engine, enough engine for a full-timer, the 8.0 Onan generator so it’s got enough generator for a full-timer and floorplans that fit the needs of a full-timer.”
But the Endeavor also has the ability to adapt. Walters added that the 40SKQ, that front kitchen model he mentioned earlier, could come in real handy for a tailgater or any owner who loves to entertain.
(Another thing to keep in mind if you are a tailgater looking for a likely rig, you don’t even need to leave your living room to watch the World Series and feel like you’re there if you are the proud owner of the jaw-dropping 37-inch flatscreen LCD TV, a standard feature with the 40SKQ.)
In addition, there are two more floorplans to occupy the thoughts of the RV enthusiast: the trusty 40PDQ and for those who like the PDQ floorplan but would prefer it in a more maneuverable package, the 36PDQ.
But Walters emphasized that no matter what model of Endeavor you choose, every single one is built with that solid Holiday Rambler construction and sitting on a foundation that can bear up under the rigors of the road. “From our chassis and one-piece fiberglass roof to the one-piece Panaview™ windshield it’s the quality of our construction that we sell,” Walters said.
Some more standard features that many a future owner will appreciate are the 10,000 pound hitch receiver, the large four-door refrigerator with icemaker and the Dual 13.5 BTU roof air conditioner to keep you cool during the hot months, just to name a few perks.
The storage capacity in the bedroom has been augmented with a dresser and an overhead cabinet. The bedroom also lets in the light with a nice-size window.
The Sizzle
But just because she’s got a lot of steak doesn’t mean that this coach is short on sizzle. Along with beautiful new front and rear caps the 2008 Endeavor is also modeling a new eye-catching paintjob, deluxe full body paint has been kicked up a notch or three with a striking four-color fade.
Inside, Corian adorns countertops throughout the coach, lustrous vintage oak woodwork lights up the interior with its golden glow and oil rubbed bronze hardware finishes cabinet doors and drawers, the cool (not to mention easy to clean) beauty of ceramic tile graces both kitchen and bathroom floors, Ultraleather pilot and co-pilot seats are embossed on the back with the Holiday Rambler logo.
And comfort doesn’t take a backseat either. For added privacy day/night pleated blackout shades come standard for the living room and bedroom windows, and the attic fan in the kitchen keeps helps cool off the cook.
Endeavor doesn’t hold back on options, a bedroom DVD Player might come in handy for the insomniac or anyone who likes a good evening movie, a full tile living room option is bound to find some admirers but my personal favorite is the living room fireplace with a hardwood frame (available only with the 40SKQ).
Substance means more to Holiday Rambler than just building and selling top of the line coaches, as if that weren’t enough. “It’s the 24/7/365 Holiday Rambler tech support,” Walters said. “It’s our large dealer network, our factory service centers in 350 different locations.
“We sell construction, our chassis, our service, the safety of our coaches. We’re not selling flash in a pan. We’re a proven performer.
“We’ve had huge success with Endeavor year after year,” Walters said. “And the momentum continues full speed ahead. Endeavor is the top performer in the Holiday Rambler family.”
For some proverbial steak and some serious sizzle stop by your nearest Holiday Rambler dealer for a gander at the 2008 Endeavor. It can’t help but tempt your palate. |
